A residential water leak detection and prevention system designed for rented, high-rise, and multiple occupancy accommodation, The Waterguard Solo is a stellar addition to our industry-leading product line-up.

Protecting property owners from the harmful effects of surplus water escape – including the depletion of value, subsidence damage, costly repairs, and impacts on general health and wellbeing – it is an intuitive system that works primarily by monitoring usage and reacting to excessive flow.

By monitoring the flow from the incoming water mains using an integrated sensor, the Waterguard Solo automatically disconnects the supply if and when the maximum allowable flow has been exceeded. With ‘holiday mode’ in operation, if a facility maintains no water usage for longer than a 24-hour period, the product will also close the valve and shut off connected utilities to prevent damage during times of inoccupancy.

There are optional levels of guard – or the maximum time of continuous flow permitted – including 10, 20, and 30 minutes, which can be set by the installer, landlord, or concierge bespoke to individual requirements. However, should the system falsely trigger isolation, users have the power to manually override and reinstate the water supply.

Language-free, tamper-proof, and simple to install, the Waterguard Solo contains only components approved by the Water Advisory Regulations Scheme (WRAS) – a certification mark that demonstrates that an item or package complies with the high standards set out by water regulations. Plus, it will be available to buy online from next month!

Because the system is equipped with 240V controls to support the integrated battery and low power indicator, an appropriately qualified electrician is required to complete installation.

Here at Waterguard, we’re proud to offer comprehensive training for contractors working on multi-residential projects, should they need it – simply get in touch, and we’d be happy to help. Our dedicated team of engineers are available to provide technical support, commissioning, and documentation at the earliest convenience.

Like all of our water leak detection systems, maintenance is required to optimise the performance of the product – although this is minimal. We recommend users dismantle the unit and clean with limescale remover every 12 months, and be conscious to replace the battery (3V lithium) after continued power loss. It’s that simple!
