The Waterguard DataCom is an innovative communications device which will notify up to three people via SMS if a water leak has been detected.

The DataCom includes a 2-year subscription for the alert service and can be connected to any Waterguard water leak detection system to provide offsite alerts to 3 registered recipients.

For use in conjunction with the Waterguard Series 7, Puddle and residential range of systems.  

Q. Can 1 number could be registered to all DataComs on a project?
A. You can register up to 4 numbers which can all be the same or individual.

Q. Can DataCom be fitted later after the initial system installation?
A. Yes

Q. If the signal is lost on the Datacom what would happen?
A. The DataCom alerts you with a failed signal by flashing slowly green.

The Waterguard DataCom unit is used in conjunction with the Waterguard Home, Solo, Series 7 and Waterguard Puddle range which are all connected using the ALARM OUT terminal on each unit.

It is important to note that the location of the DataCom is critical to its effective operation. Great care should be taken to locate in an accessible area that has reception with a good signal strength., in order for the DataCom to connect to the network.

It is advised that the DataCom is installed in areas such as the concierge or an office and not in cellars or plant rooms.

Waterguard Service Centre – Installation 


All Waterguard products are available to buy from us direct and you can open a 30-day EOM account after your first order. Alternatively, we can prepare a quote for you and you can order through your local merchant.

We have a list of preferred suppliers who are fully trained with extensive knowledge of our product range. They can, at a local level, assist in specifying the right Waterguard solution for you project:


Your order will be delivered using APC Overnight, the UK’s largest independent delivery network. We use APC as they have over 105 locations, guaranteeing a reliable service. Next working day delivery is available for all stock items, plus additional options of guaranteed next day before 12PM, before 9AM and Saturday deliveries. *UK mainland only, please enquire for other areas. 

APC will notify you as soon as your order has been dispatched from our warehouse and provide a delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. You will also be able to track and manage your delivery via the APC portal or call the office and we will sort it for you.  

Commissioning & Maintenance

Once installed and connected to the network an engineer is required to call the office on 01226 244200 quoting the DataCom’s SIM number to register and activate. Once tested the Waterguard DataCom requires no commissioning.

The DataCom includes a 2 year subscription when first installed. An allocated person will be contacted 6 months prior to the end of this subscription to arrange renewal.
